Leona, baby sitting - AB39 Aberdeen

Hello :)

My name is Leona and I am a first year psychology student at University of Aberdeen.

Ever since my early years, I have felt the need to help other people. So when it came to choosing what to focus on in my further studies, the choice was clear-Psychology.

This desire brought me to the children's home in the Czech Republic two years ago where I volunteered for a year. I would take a three year old boy for walks and we would play games and read books together. I wanted him to see and explore the world the same way as a child who has his parents.

Last summer I spend two months in Australia, lived with australian family. I would spend lots of time with their three year old lovely daughter and have so much fun.

It was these experiences which first sparked my love for children.
I think it is important to do what fulfils me, and I am sure that working with children is the right thing.
