I personally am looking for more babysitting roles as opposed to child care. Not due to the fact that as I previously stated I look apon it being a far less demanding role compared to Child Care but because Child Cate is not what I want as my main career choice. I absolutely love all animals and would love nothing more than to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse during the day time and if possible some babysitting 2 or 3 nights a week. That would be the best case senario for me as I would mainly work as a Veterinary Nurse full-time and as Veterinary Nurses do not earn too grate a wage I could kill 2 birds with the 1 stone and not only top up my Nursing wage but get to spend some quality time with children as well which I am also extremely keen to do after finding out many years ago that I can not have any of my own children. I will just offer my services as a Babysitter / Child Care for a few hours over the weekends to enable my motherly instinct to get slightly satisfied.
Occasional babysitting | $8.50 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $13.00 per hour |
Babysitting I look at as more of looking after the child/children later on in the evening when they are not quite as energetic and are starting to slowly wind down for bed and I most probably would need to get them ready and in bed off to sleep at their own individual sleeping times therefore I look apon babysitting as far less hard work hence the cheaper rate of pay.
