My name is Caittie , I am 18 years old and I am looking for a part time childcare/babysitting job. I am a full time student at Dance Studio Scotland based at Glasgow Clyde College, Anniesland Campus. There I study all types of dance from Ballet to street dance. I am also a member of Scottish Ballet's Youth Exchange, were in March I had the chance to go to New York and train with another university and also had the chance to perform in front of Nicole Sturgeon and also performed at the Joyce Theatre in Manhattan. I have performed for many places; Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Tramway, Murrayfield, STV Riverside Show, BBC News and Britains Got Talent.
In my time of training I have taken part in my activities including teaching young children to dance.
I consider myself fun and very enthusiastic. I enjoy being around people and communicating. I love children from newborns to 10+ year olds.
I have had a lot of experience with taking care of children as I have a nephew at 11months, a niece at 6 years old and many little cousins under the age of 12. I enjoy spending time with kids as I am still young and still get excited about things myself so I know how they feel when new and big things come along.
Occasional babysitting | $5.50 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $5.60 per hour |
The reason for these rates are because I would be looking after kids of any age, it takes time, patient, a lot of care and they need a lot of attention, so I feel the minimum for a babysitter/childcarer at 18/19 should be at least £5.30 an hour. Due to me not having my First Aid training or professional experience I also feel this is reasonable. Just because I have got the qualifications or certificate doesn't mean I can't look after children of any age, although I have had many experiences.
