Hello my name is Kaylee, I’m an Ofsted registered nanny and I've worked as a professional full-time nanny in Woodury for almost 2 years. I'm also currently working as a part-time nanny in Exmouth and have been since 08/06/2020.
I'm 20 years old and child care has always been my passion. After completing my Level 3 BTEC national award in Children's Play, Learning and Development with a Merit grade, I luckily almost straight away got offered my previous job for just one day a week (due to my low professional child care experience) alongside another nanny. After 2 months I was offered the full-time position of 5 days a week term-time and I have really enjoyed this role. The family I worked for unfortunately had to cut my hours significantly due to changes in their finances. I worked reduced hours for approximately 2 months but I had to step down from my position as it wasn’t working for me. I’m looking for a nanny position that is part-time as I'm currently working a wonderful part-time nanny job.
One of my favourite parts of the job is building and maintaining positive relationships with the children in my care - as I had done with the 2 beautiful boys I used look after, and the 2 beautiful boys I currently look after. I am not shy of maintaining a tidy home during my work day and helping with light housework. I absolutely love to cook and love to safely include the children when preparing meals. I'm an animal lover too and will happily look after family pets during my work day - my previous family have a jack russell who I met when she was just a puppy and my current family have a king charles spaniel puppy. In my old position myself and the boys enjoyed taking their dog on walks to the local field where they played in the puddles with their trucks and the dog had a run about.
Nannying is a very rewarding career for me and I'm hoping to find a wonderful job where I play a part in a young child's life. I travel using a moped and I'm in the process of passing my driving test, this means I can travel a distance to work but won't be able to do a school drop off/pick up myself if it's not in walking distance.
My previous family have offered to provide references for me upon request, and they have a photo album from my time with their boys which can be shared with you too.
I started my current position on 08/06/2020 with two boys, 9 and 6. The 9 year old boy has autism which has taught me so much and he's given me so much more understanding already. He has PDA and I've recently started an 8 week online course with Exeter University to learn more about autism in general and how to care for someone with autism. With this job I've mainly been home schooling, using the family ipad and macbook to access online school work and send photos of work to the boys' teachers. I look after the puppy alongside my work, and currently there's at least 1 parent around or both depending on their schedules. This is my first position working alongside the parents and I quite like it! I don't mind a position working alongside the parents or without the parents.
I'm currently available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Once school is back to normal I will be available any day, but on the weekdays I will start work at 4.30pm. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and please feel free to contact.
