My name is Emily. I am 32 years old, married and live in Bridgwater.
I currently work as an Educational Support Worker for SCC in various settings across Somerset with children from 4-16 years. I work term time, so would be available much more over school holiday's. I don't have any children of my own, so am very flexible with availability.
I am interested in babysitting, taking kids out to clubs or coming along as support for parents on trips out and general tasks.
I have looked after, educated and cared for children for over 10 years in nurseries and schools. I am a qualified nursery nurse and higher level teaching assistant. I am up to date in first aid, manual handling and STC training. I am also trained and very knowledgeable with children who have SEN. I have worked with physically, mentally and medically disabled children and those with very challenging behaviour for the past 6 years. I am very experienced with children who have Autism, EAL and speech and language difficulties.
I love to cook, clean, pets and being outdoors and active. I encourage children to learn and play rather than sit and watch tv!
I wouldn't just be supervising children, I would be aiming to have a positive impact on their development and growth. I am respectful of parents wishes and am very committed to working with a consistent approach.
In my spare time I like going to the gym, theme parks, concerts and watching horror films. I love animals, am pretty gutsy, not easily frightened, energetic and responsible.
I am incredibly patient, calm, organised, reliable and responsible and enthusiastic.
