Hiya
I'm Emily, I'm 18 and just finished my A Levels in maths and sciences so pretty useful for any summer homework, educational activities :) I used to volunteer as a young leader at Rainbows (girls age 5-7) for a year and then at Cub Scouts (boys and girls age 8-10) for a year after that. Other than that, I've only babysit occasionally before, the youngest age being two. However I'm quite used to interacting with kids of any age, I work in a family friendly shoe shop where I fit shoes and initiate conversations with confident, shy, well behaved and not so well behaved children every shift.
I can't drive but I'm very familiar with public transport and the local area. I'm alright with normal household chores and I can cook but I get quite unconfident cooking round other peoples' houses so that's why I ticked "I prefer not to". However I'm patient and smiley so will listen to the child and the parent enthusiastically- I'm happy to take kids out the house with permission or provide entertainment in the house like stories, games, art activities or do otherwise if asked to by the parent.
