My name is Sophie and I am 21 years old. I have recently completed a 3 year degree in Primary Education where I achieved a 2:1. This course has allowed me to obtain my qualified teacher status. Whilst completing my 3 years training, I worked in multiple primary schools, in years 1-6 and so have many experiences working, supporting and teaching children. I have worked in a wide variety of schools and have dealt with very different and difficult situations. These experiences have strengthened me as a teacher and individual and has increased my desire to work and teach children.

During my time at university, I worked in a nursery and after-school club. I worked in both the baby room and the pre-school room and so I have really good experiences with working with children of all different ages. Whilst working here, I had to play with the children, make sure the environment was always safe and stimulating, I cleaned and took care of the children, helped lead circle time and other educational activities and also helped cook dinner. I built really good relationships with both the children and parents and thoughougly enjoyed my time working and caring for the children.

I have also fundraised to go on two expeditions to Uganda. One for two weeks with sixth form and the second for 5 weeks with a friend. Whilst in Uganda, I volunteered in Primary schools where I taught a variety of subjets, which included English, maths, first aid, etc, to a variety of ages. I also opened up a temporary school in a deprived area where children do not have the opportunity to go to school. I also volunteered in 3 orphanages, helped in a malnutrition unit and fundraised for the elder pupils of school to go on a safari and on a tour of the river nile. My experiences in Uganda were completely life changing and strengthened me as an individual and furthered my passion to work and care for children.

I hope that after reading a little bit about me, you will consider me for any jobs you have to offer.
