Alix, baby sitting - RH1 Redhill

My name is Alix, and I am 21 years old. Although I have no qualifications in babysitting or childcare, I am currently working in a the pre school room of a nursery setting and I am going to be trained with an NVQ. I understand that this knowledge may be unsettling for a lot of parents but I have spent the last 3 years part time babysitting my brothers 3 year old daughter (Who is now 6 years) and the past year babysitting his other, younger daughter, was 5 months at the time I started caring for her and of course I now work with 3-4 year olds monday-friday.
As I am already in work currently I am only available for early morning and evenings and weekends.
In my experience I have helped to teach them to read, count and draw, and also to keep them active and stimulated from a young age as it is important for children of that age. In terms of play, I have taught some games from my own childhood, and I am also more than happy to let children teach me their own games too, as imagination is very important for a young child. As I now work in a nursery setting I am learning a lot about the Early Years Foundations.
