I am a 22 year old Modern Languages scholarship student studying at Swansea University. I love going for walks and being outside, crafts, baking and all animals! I am training to be a MFL teacher and have achieved top grades in GCSE, A Level and in my degree so far. I am currently on a gap year due to COVID, and will finish my degree next year with the aim to go on to do my PGCE at Cambridge university. I have training in adult and paediatric first aid, disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health, autism, BSL, anti-racism and equality as well as many others. I also have a CELTA qualification and lots of experience babysitting and teaching children from ages 0-16. I am the President of a large charity based in Swansea called Discovery SVS, as well as running my own project for adults with additional needs in the community. I play the cello and dance 10-13 hours per week, as well as volunteering with lots of other projects that help the community and it’s members. My aim in life is to be a good person and try to make the world a better place. I just want to make everyone happy and support people as much as possible. I am very patient and reliable and love being around children.
I have worked as a Nursery Assistant, as well as teaching modern languages in primary and secondary schools as a part time job and part of my degree. I am a Girl guiding leader with girls aged 4-14 years, and was a Sunday school teacher for 4 years. I have experience volunteering with children with special needs, challenging behaviour and those who are disadvantaged and I will be spending summer 2021 volunteering at a summer camp in Leeds for children aged 9-11 years. I have also studied early years and childhood development as part of my degree.
