Hello Family!
My name is Rachael (my friends and children usually call me Rae) and I'm a female Nanny/babysitter.
Although I'm currently living the beautiful town of South Shields near Newcastle, I'm looking to progress my skills of being a care giver for children for when I someday have my own children.
I hope to also further my educational possibilities to study languages such as Italian, French, Spanish or even Arabic!
And to follow in my ambition to becoming an Actress.

During my time with your family I will provide you the best service of being your Au Pair/Nanny.

I believe what is important for both the children and the parents is that a real Nanny/babysitter should be somebody that can be trusted and feel like an extension to the family.
Spending time with younger relatives and working as a Nanny has let me experience being in such a position and also develop a real relationship with the children I was caring for.
I try to encourage the children to take part in as many outdoor activities as possible, I feel being outside in the fresh air doing activities and sports is the best way to spend time and have fun with the children. If they are willing I can try and engage them in some sports/activities I'm good at such as Football, Netball, Horse Riding, Swimming, Singing, Arts and Crafts and also some educational games.
It's not hard to find common ground both with girls and boys, so the children would never find themselves bored or unentertained.

Generally, My aim is to set a good example to the children, I feel manners and being polite are key for this.

About Myself:
I'm very well organised, independent, caring, kind, creative and can use my own initiative.
I enjoy walks, eating out and going to the cinema. I like to take to do things that involves creativity and give me some kind of experience and memories to look back on.
At the moment I am learning to drive and although this can be seen as flaw or weakness, I feel children would enjoy it more from being in the open air of the outdoors. I always encourage walking and cycling as it to be more environmentally friendly and beneficially learning to the children I care for.
Being a quick learner I hope to have pass my test soon and have a valid Driver's License to hand by the end of the year.
Among other interests I have are Fashion, Music and keeping fit, healthy and active.
A 'people person' is definitely something I would refer myself as I love to meet new people and hearing the interesting stories and adventures they have to share.

A positive influence I feel is essential in children's lives and they should always have someone around to give them to give them that extra boost of confidence to know they can do anything they want to do if they just put their mind to it.

I'm a very cheerful, polite and fun person to be around with a lot of heart and I hope to share this with your children, with a little guidance, I'm certain I can help teach them good habits and patience and make their childhood a happy and fulfilled one!

My past experiences with families included various responsibilities depending on the age of the children.
Helping with homework, preparing packed lunches, feeding, changing nappies, bathing, putting to bed, reading bedtime stories.
Light Housekeeping duties were involved such as Hoovering, washing the children's dishes, folding the children's laundry, tidying up after the children when they've finished playing with their toys.
I have experience of working with children between the ages of 6 months - 17 years, references are all available on request.
