Rachel, babysitter - B1 Birmingham

Hi! My name is Rachel, I am 27 and originally from Norfolk (based in Birmingham now)

About me:

Nannying - I have been an 'ad hoc' nanny for various families in and around London on and off for 2 years. I will try to explain the situation best I can; I had a main family who needed me ad hoc basis with their one son. We got on so well, her friends then asked to be introduced to me and hey presto, I suddenly became an 'ad hoc' nanny for a hand full families, with handfuls of children! It sounds more complicated than it was, it did all work well and the parents all were in touch and contacted me as and when they needed me, I ended up working basically full time but across the families and sometimes looking after the children at the same time.

Other jobs and why part time suits me-

Due to the nature of my other jobs, an actress and yoga teacher, I am flexible with my time but therefore have to be very organised! I have much experience working with children in different arenas as well as nannying/babysitting, including teaching drama workshops for 4-8 and 8-12 year olds and yoga for 2 - 8 years old. I have also toured in various countries with kids theatre, so spend most of my life around children and it's something I enjoy a lot.

Work ethic-
I have good work ethic and always find a good relationship with each child finding things in common and the special qualities in each individual. I like to think I have a healthy balance of fun, learning, discipline and exploration when I am with children and like to keep in the same guidelines the parents have already laid out for them! I always have a healthy communicative relationship with the parents/carers and keep in touch in the days we spend out. I am creative and can always find things to do, places to be and activities to keep the children active outside (weather dependant of course) and engaged.

Personality-
I am an outgoing fun person with a smile on her face. Life is to be lived and enjoyed and I fully live by this rule!
