Sophie, babysitter - B34 Birmingham

My name is Sophie , I am nearly 19 years old and I am very interested in working with children in the future. I would like to do some babysitting/child care to help me boost up my experience of working with children and to help me earn some extra money to help me through university. I studied child development at GCSE at Park Hall Academy then Early Years in sixth form at Park Hall Academy and I am going to University September to do a Childhood Studies course. I have never had a job before so do not have experience that wise, however since the age of 10 I have been looking after children in my family, I have 11 nieces and nephews ranging from 14 months old to 17 years old and I have helped to look after children from newborn-11 years old. when babysitting I have done enjoyable activities with them such as painting, colouring, playing games and I have taken them out on days out with my friends to zoos and parks. whilst doing my early years course at sixth form I done 5 placements over 2 years where I worked in private nurserys, religious schools and primary schools working with children 0-8 years old and this has helped me to gain in confidence and experience. As well as looking after children I am happy to also help out around the house doing chores, looking after pets and putting children to bed.
