Hi, my names Ashleigh. I'm currently a student with aspirations to become a primary school teacher. I am very enthusiastic and have a keen can-so attitude. Alongside this I'm polite and friendly and easy to talk to, ensuring that both parents and children feel at ease! I am also punctual and can always be relied on.
I have babysat in the past for both family and friends of my parents and have alway had positive feedback. I feel that getting to know the family and the child is very important as I can then cater or their likes, needs as expectations.
I'm currently volunteering as a leader at the girl-guiding group 'rainbows' where I'm able to work with children (ages 4-7) to help them express their creative sides. I have a passion for arts and crafts and use this to work with the rainbows who have 'badges' that they can work towards. Alongside this, I also keep the children engaged whilst helping them to learn new things through the use of songs, games and book readings. I also work with children as a key stage 3 mentor for the school years below my sixth form. As a key stage 3 mentor I assist children with their reading and English skills. Whilst rewarding for the child, I also find it incredibly rewarding for me as I am proud to have been able to boost their confidence in Literacy.
Occasional babysitting | $5.00 per hour |
As I am not fully qualified and still a student I feel that £5.00 an hour is an appropriate price.
