Hi, my name is Imogen, I am a 21 year old medical student at the University in Bristol. I have always loved children, coming from a large extended Irish family has meant that I have grown up around toddlers and baby cousins and spent countless hours playing with and looking after them. From a young age I have had a keen interest in specialising in paediatrics or neonatology and so focused much of my work experience on children. I have babysat for many families, with children of varying ages, spent two summers volunteering at a children’s summer scheme and even worked at the Northern Ireland Children’s hospice where I cared for the siblings of terminally ill children and signed up to a voluntary babysitting rota to provide these families with a break at weekends. I would love to help out with anything, I have a much more flexible timetable this year as I am intercalating in Childhood Studies, which involves taking a year out of medicine so my study is not as full on. I have Wednesdays off, am free most evenings, weekends and afternoons. I hope I can be of some help to you and maybe give you a night or weekend off! Please don’t hesitate to contact me at any time. I also speak conversation Spanish (A-level qualified and spent a couple of months in Spain), I love to cook and am more than willing to help with household chores.
