Claire, babysitter - BT66 Waringstown

I am a 19 year old student studying at Stranmillis, and I am an enthusiastic and bubbly person looking to do babysitting starting from the beginning of June. I chose the BeD primary degree as my place of study as being a teacher is my main goal. I love spending my time with children, teaching them and doing different things with them, whether that be going on trips or spending time doing crafts and other activities in the house. Even though I have no certified qualifications to hold to my name yet, I have lots of experience with working with children. I am an enrolled anchor boys brigade leader, I carry out a lot of children's work within my church and I volunteer in my local primary school during the month of June. From being in my first year of stranmillis, I have had the opportunity to teach in a village school in maralin for 6 weeks, working with different age groups. I am a familiar face in the local areas around me, meaning a lot of children may already know me. I have a good rapport with all of the children I work with. I want to use all of the experience I have in my babysitting job. I am looking for children who are preferably nursery age and above as this is where most of my experience lies. I am an honest and trustworthy person, but also a good listener, and I always make sure my rapport with the parents is strong as well.
I have plenty of games and activities up my sleeve that I could use when babysitting.
