Caitlin, babysitter - DL2 Croft-on-tees

I'm Caitlin and I'm 18 years old; I'll be leaving college in a few weeks and would love to fill my summer with some childcare work. I have babysitting experience with children aged 2 and upwards and volunteered at Brownies for a couple of years, helping with and organising a variety of activities for girls aged 6-11. Spending time with children is enjoyable for me; board games, helping with homework, reading or just playing are all activities that are fun for me as well as the children! Throughout life so far I've been recognised as a responsible student who can effectively look after younger children: at the age of 11 when in primary school I was chosen to be a 'reception monitor', which meant that I would help the 3 and 4 year olds with their shoes and coats and help them at lunchtime; for 3 years at secondary school I stage managed for the school productions, meaning I was in charge of not only the backstage crew but all the cast members, some who were as young as 11; my work experience took place in a primary school for a week which I found extremely enjoyable and has led me to consider a career (after university) with children. With regards to transport, I have been driving for almost a year and a half now and have my own car, so would be able to organise my own travel arrangements and work more flexible hours. It also means I would be able to do school runs if necessary or even trips out!
