Lucy, babysitter - DN15 Frodingham

Hi i'm Lucy, I'm 16 and a health and social care cadet at college!
Over the past 6 years I have been looking after my five cousins and neighbours children and grandchildren. These children have an age range from newborn to 12 years old, so I feel like I have an advantage as I am experienced in looking after and catering my childcare to all ages. I am looking to care for children in evenings on weekdays and weekends. I feel like I am good at multi tasking and caring for multiple children at once making sure they are all entertained and cared for! I am friendly and fun and very creative. I love having arts and crafts sessions with children as it is not only fun for them, but beneficial to their development! Also, they always get pleasure from making a little bit of a mess. I also love story telling, involving the children in the story or getting them to make up parts of it. When I am able to, playing outside or outside activities is a go to when I look after children as I have found it to be the most entertaining for them. I love to cook and have a variety of child friendly meals that are healthy but still appealing to a picky child. Also I can cater to any dietary requirements. Cleaning up is also no problem and I am always careful to leave a house looking neat and clean. When it comes to conflict between children I feel like I am good at coming up with negotiations between them, such as children sharing toys. I am careful to make sure no child feels upset but understands the situation in which I have had to step in for.
