Emily, babysitter : East Sussex

My name is Emily, I will be 21 in August and I am currently studying at university to become a primary school teacher. My course specialises with children ages 3-7. Before beginning my training I was working at Barcombe School for 2 years as a teaching assistant in reception. I have recently completed my placement at university at Harlands Primary School in Haywards Heath working with children in Reception, Year 1 and 2. During my time working at Barcombe I have received paediatric first aid training and standard first aid training, therefore I can perform first aid on children of all ages. I have and continue to babysit for a number of families from these schools with children ranging from 3 months to 12 years old. I am sensitive and versatile to children's individual needs and have worked with a number of children with Special Educational Needs. I love working with children and am very nurturing, but also have an in depth understanding of children's needs for development and can accomodate for children's learning through play. I believe engaging children's minds at a young age, playing games, being creative, singing, making music and reading to children are important and enjoyable activities that your children will love but will also gain important skills from.
