I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience working from nursery school age to year 6. I have a current DBS certificate and paediatric first aid. I have been a volunteer with the Scout Association and Guide Association and enjoy spending time outdoors, in particular I am an avid camper.

I worked for a year as an English teacher in Russia and undertook some private tutoring as well. I enjoy helping children learn through games and activities which they enjoy rather than worksheets.

I currently work in a nursery, looking after groups of children aged 3-5, although I have spent some time with the younger children at the setting. I like to work with the children to find out what they are interested in and plan activities based around that. I am particularly keen on including science and engineering activities and love to see children's faces when they watch an exciting science experiment or make connections with what they have seen and what they already know.
