Hi, I would like to do this job because I have always been interested in working with children. I have recently done a Childcare course at school and did this through work experience. I would particularly like to work with children and young babies because I have lots of younger family and I love knowing how incredible children are and the differences between them. I am good at observing behaviour and knowing how to calm them down when they are full of energy. I also have a little cousin who suffers from ADHD and I know how to calm him down when he needs it. In 2012 I spent a week doing work experience, when I was on my work experience I was helping out in a primary 2 class in which I worked with them on their work and looked after them, I learnt how to assess behaviour in children and after a week I enjoyed it so much I went back to help with the Christmas Concert. I also managed to get a 9 month old baby to sleep while babysitting. I am good at listening to children in an appropriate manner and also the sort of things children and younger babies enjoy doing on a day to day basis. I am interested in finding out more about children because most of my knowledge is from 7 months- 13 year olds. I follow the parents routine to ensure the children feel safe and happy. I have always been influenced because my Mother works as a learning assistant with children who have Autism. I hope the above emphasises my reasons for getting into Childcare and babysitting. I have also just finished NPA play work and childcare at college and got a conditional for college on the higher level NC course, Hope to hear from you soon.
