I am currently in Full time employment splitting my day between being a PA in a busy consumer research company and caring for 3 children after school Mon - Thurs.

I am available to work evenings and weekends upon request. I may also be available on Fridays in the near future.

I am very passionate about children and although I do not have any childcare qualifications I come with a wealth of experience and hold a BA (hons) degree in business studies.

My Experience

January 2014 till Present

I provide after school care Mon-Thurs for 3 children, 9yr, 7yr and 6yr. I assist with homework, make beds and other general housekeeping tasks as well as being creative with them. I encourage outdoor play and art passtimes.

September 2013 till present

I started caring for 2 girls aged 4 and 7. I take the oldest to school and spend the morning doing creative play or baking with the youngest as well as taking her to and collecting her from ballet class. I then prepare lunch for the youngest and take her to nursery then collect the oldest from school. My afternoon involves taking the oldest to gym club and then collecting the youngest from nursery.

September 2013 till January 2013

I started looking after 3 children (2 girls, 1 boy) aged 8, 6 and 4 one day per week. I collected from school and took them to their after school activities, including Ballet and Karate. I also played with them and prepared food and bath time.

September 2013 till January 2013

I started caring for a 4 year old little girl and her 8 year old brother 3 days per week. This position including picking the little girl up from nursery and entertaining her throughout the rest of the day through trips to the park, museum and local swimming pool. I also encouraged educational play. I also picked the little boy up at the end of the school day and helped him with homework and took him to piano lessons. Food preparation was also included in my day.

July 2013 till August 2013

I started caring for a 5 month old little girl on a temporary 3 week contract. The mother had some work to undertake and needed help with childcare.

This position has involved going to local parks, botanics and on occasion song circle in Stockbridge.

This position ended 7/8/13.

May 2013 till July 2013

I started caring for an 18 month old little girl at very short notice and have built up a strong bond with the child and both parents. This was a full time position and involved activities including Music bugs, swim tots, playgroups, reading, play-parks and educational play. I like to carry out activities with children that are both fun and educational so they are learning as well as enjoying themselves.

This position was only ever temporary as the family are emigrating to New Zealand. This family have been kind enough to leave me a review so please check that out.

September 2010 till April 2013

This was my first childcare position starting when the child was 7 months old and ending soon after her third birthday. I still babysit for this little girl occasionally and visit her regularly as I have built up a very strong relationship with both the child and her parents.

Activities involved were baby sign language, monkey music, toddler groups, play park, library visits, museum visits, creative, imaginary and educational play.

This position ended as the child started nursery.

June 2011 till June 2012 and Jan 2013 till April 2013

This position was wrap around care for a little boy who was 7 years old when I started and 9 years old when I finished. I worked this position in conjunction with the little girl I cared for full time from Sept 2010.

This position involved occasionally taking the little boy to school and collecting him after school, I did this 3/4 days per week. I assisted the child with his homework, took him on excursions where time allowed and took him to the library.

I still occasionally babysit for this child and his now 6year old little sister.

Jan 2011 till August 2011

This position involved caring for a one year old little girl one day per week - again this was in conjunction with the little girl I cared for full time. Activities involved in this position were the same as the full time child.

This position ended due to the mother having a second child and therefore not requiring childcare as she was at home. Again I still on occasion babysit for this now 3 year old little girl and her now 2 year old little brother.

I have also babysat for several families on one or two occasions with older children.

All positions have included light housework and food preparation.

I am fully flexible and reliable and all families I have worked with will vouch for that.

My Qualifications

I have a degree in business studies with human resource management but have not found any job with this degree that I would like.
