Rachel, babysitter - G67 Cumbernauld

Hello, my name is Rachel and I am 25 years old.
I have always loved working with children of all ages. I used to help out when I was younger with my niece and that is where it all started!

I started working in nurseries when I was 18 in 2009 as a childcare assistant and did my SVQ3 in early education & childcare whilst working and became a qualified childcare practitioner. I worked in nurseries for 3 years before I moved onto after school care as a line manager where I ran the after school day to day planning a range of different activities. When I was line manager at the afterschool my team and I were awarded grades 5 & 6 by the Care Inspectorate which is 5 - very good & 6 - excellent.

Currently I am an Additional Support Needs Assistant for North Lanarkshire Council working in various primary and secondary schools where I help the children with their work and help supervise them in practical classes such as technical and home economics.

In my own time I enjoy reading books (especially Harry Potter). I also like to play the trombone & keyboard. I enjoy taking my dog walks to relax.

I am available for babysitting, evenings and weekends and all day throughout the school holidays. I have loads of great ideas for activities and games with children. I am kind, caring, fun & always ensure the children are in a safe environment.
