Shannon, sitter - HD1 Huddersfield

My name is Shannon Nicole Wood and I am 17 years of age, I am a very outgoing, bubbly and friendly student; I like to go out of my way to ensure that other people are put first and that they are happy with their needs and requirements met. I spend my free time studying for my A levels, helping out at home with various activities such as cleaning and cooking and babysitting, and I also enjoy socializing with friends, I am enthusiastic, prepared and I have a positive attitude. I approach things with a clear mind in order to see my work through to completion. I am an effective listener and communicator, I am also able to work alone and work as a team member, an example of this would be group work within college with all members participating, this would be done by each member of the group producing work and feeding it back to the class appropriately. I will approach individual’s and groups with a positive mind set in order to engage in appropriate and effective conversation in order to create bonds such as trust and entertainment due to my confidence when dealing with other members within the community. I will create the activities and get the service users from the community involved due to my own initiative.

I have previously studied at Royds Hall High School where I spent 5 years getting my GCSE’s which gained me a place on my Level 3 course which is an extended diploma called Health and Social Care at Kirklees College.

I have had part time jobs which represent responsibility and outline my skills which were needed and gained for and from the different types of jobs I have done along with my experience. The jobs I have previously been employed in are babysitting, news-paper round and waitressing. Although I am currently unemployed and looking for a job, I have an open mind to all of the opportunities available.
