Chloe, babysitter in Blackpool

My name is Chloe and I am 14 Years Old. I live in Blackpool and I offer safe and trustworthy babysitting for families who need it. I am available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 5:15pm and 9:00pm as I am still in full-time education. I am also available to babysit Most Saturdays 7:00am - 6pm and Sundays 8:00am - 8pm. I am a good role model to younger children as I have younger siblings too. I am trustworthy, responsible and generally a happy person. I love children and would do absolutely anything to keep them happy. I would also follow certain instructions you gave me, such as their bed times, allergies etc. I attended a 6 week babysitting course and I am now an AQA certified babysitter (certificate to prove).

In completing the unit I have

Demonstrated the ability to;
- Identify 3 qualities required to be a good babysitter
- Change a nappy
- Manage my own booking system for babysitting
- Negotiate an hourly rate of pay with the child's parents/carers
- Complete a simulated babysitting exercise with a virtual baby

- How to carry out a risk assessment of at least 2 different environments whilst babysitting
- 3 aspects of health and safety required whilst babysitting

Acquired an understanding of;
- At least 2 needs of a baby, a toddler and an older child and how to respond to each need
- 2 legal issues related to babysitting
- How to handle 2 challenging situations whilst babysitting
- At least 2 factors that need to be taken into account when babysitting for a child with an additional need, eg an allergy
- 3 safeguarding issues that may arise whilst babysitting, eg unusual bruising on a child
