Claire, babysitter in Culloden

I have always loved to work with children and have a lot of experience in the areas of caring for and teaching young children.

I have consistently babysat for two families in the past, one with 2 children (aged 4-7 and 1-3) and the other with 3 children (aged 12-15, 10-13 and 0-3). My duties while babysitting these children included feeding, washing, changing and putting to bed. I also cleaned up around the house. I could provide detailed references from both these places of work.

My main experience in caring for and being responsible for several children at a time has been in nurseries, play-schools and the younger classes of primary schools.
During my times of work experience in these settings I have been responsible for engaging with and teaching groups of children of a young age, including those with special needs. I have worked one-to-one with children with severe learning difficulties and have also coordinated group activities. I could provide detailed references from qualified teachers for the work I completed in these roles.

I am a very compassionate and kind person and I usually find it easy to bond with young children. I am very capable, conscientious and mature, and fully understand the great responsibility involved when trusted with the care of children.

I have a Bronze Gaisce President's Award. (Irish Equivalent to Duke of Edinburgh Award)

In my spare time I enjoy playing the piano, singing and ballet dancing. I have taught the basics of piano to 2 children.
I attended ballet classes from the age of 4- 17; teaching junior classes at a ballet school for 2 years after.
I also love to read and write and am currently English tutor to a 15 year old.
