Shabnam, babysitter in Glasgow G42

Hi! I am looking for Part time work as a Baby sitter or Mothers help. I have always had a natural rapport with children of all ages and have a relaxed and fun attitude when talking to children. I would describe myself as a very friendly, fun and creative person. A responsible, kind and level headed individual. I am very confident and able to work on my own initiative. I am always committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. I am also proactive and able to use my initiative when solving problems.

I have experience of working with children from the age of 1 to 12 years old. I have been doing this for 12 years, ever since my first nephew was born. I have cared for them at different stages of their lives while their parents were working. I also do childminding for my sister’s children and for my friend.

Whilst looking after children, we have enjoyed playing fun games. I like to focus on what they are interested in. Develop their learning through their imagination and creativity. Some of the activities that I have done with children include baking, craft, origami, making lava lamps, dressing up, painting, drawing, treasure hunts and making ‘dens’.

I also like to involve children in going outdoors, partaking in activities such as attending stalls and parks doing free play activities or structured games.

At the moment I am working with the organisation Home start, involved in voluntary training. I will be working with children and families which I am really looking forward to. This year I am hoping to enrol in a childcare course and will be completing the paediatric first aid course. I can also speak fluent Urdu.
