Sarah, babysitter in Hamilton

I am a trustworthy 17 year old sixth year student. I am friendly, caring and love spending time with children. I find it easy to bond with them and enjoy looking after them. I have volunteered as a Young Leader with Girl Guides for 18 months and have gained experience with 10 to 14 year olds. Here I have completed my Young Leader Qualification and learned basic First Aid. I have also begun volunteering at my church's Children's Liturgy group and work with mixed groups from age 5 to 12. This is part of a Caritas award I am looking to achieve at school which also involves helping younger students. Through being part of a large family I have regularly looked after children younger than five years old aswell. At school I am very committed and have achieved 8 National 5 A passes and 5 Higher A passes. This year I am studying a combination of Highers and Advanced Highers and hope to study Medicine next year at University. Apart from school life I am very outgoing and have completed my Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award.
