Hi my name is Emma and I am 23 years old. I currently work in a private day nursery in harrogate and have been working in childcare for 6 years now. I am first aid trained, safeguarding trained and hold a Level 3 NVQ in childcare. I am currently studying for my degree in early childhood.
I started babysitting my younger brothers at the age of 12 and then other children at the age of 14.
I thoroughly enjoy my job and am very passionate about looking after children. I love being outdoors and providing new and exciting activities for children to experience.
With my experience through my years in childcare and with having two younger brothers, I am very patient and caring. I'm quite creative, with a real interest in music and art.
I understand that some children can be quite nervous with new people so I am more than happy to meet with you beforehand, giving you and your children a chance to really get to know who will caring for your children.

I met Emma at my daughters nursery and at the time was going through a house move. During the move I needed help with babysitting and extra childcare however I was reluctant to leave her with anyone who she didn't know too well. Emma offered to babysit one night or afternoon for me, she came around, talked to me about bed time routines and spent some time with me and my daughter before hand. Emma obviously takes a great interest in all of the children she works with at her nursery setting as she knew exactly how to handle her. What she liked, didn't like to do/play/eat/sleep pattern and the bond she had created with my daughter I had no concerns about leaving her with her for that first time. I then fell pregnant and was struggling to get the other side of town on a morning due to me not driving and as you can imagine not feeling too great. Emma lived close to me and was more than happy to take her and drop her off anytime needed before and after nursery and to be honest was a god send to myself and my partner for months until my daughter started pre-school in September. My daughter LOVES her, I always felt happy when Emma came to leave her in her her capable hands. I was always fully updated anytime my daughter was in her care and Emma never ever let me down. Emma also really helped with my daughters transition to her new surroundings in the house, finding out a new baby was on the way and with her transition to her new pre-school emotionally. Emma is such a positive and calm influence on children I don't quite know how she does what she does! My daughter is now in pre-school and no longer attends the nursery but I would have no reservations in ever calling her for babysitting or help with childcare. I can't recommend her enough :)
