Rose, babysitter in Leeds LS2

Hi I'm Rose. I've recently moved to Leeds to study at Leeds College of Art. My hours on the course are 9.30 - 4.30 and I'm looking to pick up some work childminding as it is another of my passions. For me, babysitting is a way of making a fantastic connection with many wonderful parents and their children. I also feel that not only do I model for kids, but the kids I have cared for constantly remind me of what it means to be curious, creative, and non judgmental. I love games and activities- anything goes, with general kindness in mind.

I lived in New York for 9 months where I worked as a live in nanny, caring for a wonderful five year old girl. I was with her after school; taking her to classes, cooking, helping with homework etc, and during her school hours I volunteered in the Art room of the Blue School. I am one of seven children and always babysit for my nieces and nephews. I have been a babysitter for 8 years, working with kids of all ages, attitudes and abilities and have volunteered at three primary schools, two of them progressive. Working in these progressive schools has taught me about active listening and respectful communication with children and how important it is for children to be heard and validated. I grew up in the countryside in Heathfield (so love to be outdoors) and then moved to Lewes where I attended school and went on to study Art at BHASVIC 6th form in Brighton. I thoroughly enjoy anything artistic and try my best to attend life drawing classes and workshops whenever possible.
