Marie-clare, babysitter in Londonderry

Hi, my name is Marie-Clare. I am a 24 year old graduate in Graphic Design. I am currently setting up my own business with the Prince's Trust, and also work as a freelance Designer/Photographer. I am applying for any work available as a babysitter or Part Time carer. Although I have no professional qualifications in child care, I come from a big family and have 8 nieces and nephews of my own from the ages of 1-12. I spend a lot of time with them, babysitting and caring for them when their parents are at work or have an event to attend to. From doing this I have gathered experience in looking after children of various ages. I love children and I find it very easy to connect and interact with them. As a person I am mature, confident and trustworthy. I am also extremely patient and gentle. I have always been told I would be good working in a role that involves children and young people. As I am a creative individual and have spent time studying art & design, I like to encourage creativity with children, such as drawing, painting, playing musical instruments, singing, dress up and even using their imagination to play games. When given the responsibility of looking after someone else's child I treat them as if they were my own, meaning I can be trusted ensure your child's safety at all times while you are not there. I like to think of myself as a fun and happy person and I think it's important for a child to have positive adult influences in their lives.
