I am responsible and have experience in looking after children through family/friends and young leader-ing with beavers (6-8 year olds) for over a year.
Being a young leader requires being good at multi-tasking, keeping other children occupied and safe while attending to the needs of e.g an injured or upset child, helping to run activities and forming bonds with each child so that they have a fun time. I have built up my experience in this over the last year and love the connection you get to have with each individual child and their parents.
I am good at coming up with games and stories, arts and crafts, sports, baking, and willing to try any activity that the child wants to do (within reason).
I have done a thorough first aid course through scouts and I am trained as a rookie life guard. I have mentored 11-12 year olds in maths and I am willing to help with homework ect if necessary.
