My name is Kimberley and I am currently in my last year of A-levels at my local sixth form. I am looking to provide a babysitting service to any families who require help after school, on weekends or in school holidays. I am a very kind and patient person who loves to work with children and enjoys meeting new people. I am incredibly empathetic and apply care into everything I do. I am a good listener, very friendly and very easy to talk to. I am a competent worker and exceptionally reliable. I have previous experience in working with children as I was employed by Newport City Council as a member of the holiday play-scheme in community centres around Newport. Within play-scheme we provided activities daily for children and played games with them to keep them busy throughout the holiday. Not only did this provide children with something to pass time in the holidays but it also provided a safe environment for them. Through play-scheme I was also offered training opportunities for when working with children. I was trained in safeguarding, manual handling and have a paediatric first aid qualification. I also volunteer at a local organisation which assists disabled children and adults with swimming once a week, here I have experience in working one-to-one with young children in providing them a friend and encouraging them to continue working hard at improving their skills. Not only have I got professional experience but I also have a younger brother who I care for on a regular basis. I am looking to take on the role of babysitter as I feel it will benefit me in the future when applying to university for child nursing, but also because caring for children is something I enjoy and feel I am good at.
Occasional babysitting | $7.50 per hour |
Just above minimum wage as I would need to take into account transport to and from babysitting jobs.
