My name is Anique but I'm known primarily to everyone as Dersey. The origin of that nickname is a strange but funny story. I'm 18 years old and I've just finished the final year of college (at last). I'm taking a year of to work and gain experience working with kids before going on to university. Im going on to do law do be an adoption soliciter as I'm adopted, it is a career that ties very closely to me and my family. In collage I studied Photography, law an media studies. I'm interested very deeply in all 3 areas. Media studies especially. Quite frankly, it gave me an excuse to watch every single Disney movie without feeling any shame that I know them all word for word.
In terms of child care, I've done work experience in a primary school and have worked with various ages throughout my time there. The primary school also had a joint nursery so I was able to work with toddlers, though these sessions were monitored by qualified childminders no concerns were ever raised about my child care abilities at that time. In addition to working at a primary school, I was also an activity co ordinator at a summer school. The summer school helped year 6's make the transition from primary to secondary school. In this job role I had to organise sports games and performing arts themed activities. I also had to organise lessons that they would experience in year 7 like: French, Spanish, English, math, art etc. By doing that job it allowed me to develop my skills in helping children with work that they find new and somewhat difficult.

Money and charge isn't really an issue that's high on my priorities. My aim is primarily to gain experience.
