My name is Georgie-Ann . I plan on studying Physics, Maths and Chemistry on an access course next year in the hopes of becoming an Astronomer in the near future. My hobbies include reading, my favourite author being Stephen King, drawing, specifically nature and listening to music, my favourite artist being Ed Sheeran. I enjoy looking after children as I believe that it is quite rewarding. I have been a tutor to my next door neighbour's daughter who has just started secondary school. I helped her with her maths and science homework and helped her revise for her SATs which she excelled in. I have a 4 year old cousin who I pick up from school and look after once a week. We play games like hide and seek and tag which he loves and we also play with Lego and build houses for each other. I am looking for a babysitting job as I believe that I will be best at it as I already have experience in babysitting. I also look after a 6 year old boy with ADHD alongside my mother and we help him develop at the rate he should be for his age and disability. We do sensory activities with him to see what he reacts to well and what he reacts to badly to assess the severity of his disability. I find working with special needs very enjoyable because you get to see and engage with children who are different from each other and gain more knowledge on various disabilities.
Occasional babysitting | $7.50 per hour |
As I am planning on doing an access course in the next year, I need quite a bit of money to pay for my fees. However, as I'm only 17 years old, I do not need an excessive amount of money per hour as I don't have bills to pay therefore all the money earned will go towards my college fees. That's why I believe that £7.50 per hour is a reasonable charge.
