My name is Sammie, I'm 19 and i have been doing voluntary work with children since I was 14 yeas old. I have been babysitting children since i was 13 for my family and friends of my family. I still babysit on occasion as I enjoy working with children and I have grown close to the children I have worked with. I have done and continue to do my voluntary work for two youth organizations, YouthAflame and The Christian Life Center on a weekly basis. During this time myself and another voluntiers have worked with up to 20 children in one night, playing games and teaching them various interesting things. We spend alot of time playing games outside when the weather is good, and we often find games that both boys and girls can enjoy together. The children are very fond of rounders as they like running around. During the winter we often play games like parachute golf where, using a huge round rainbow coth the children hold it at all side and work together to get the white ball through the hole in the centre without the red ball going through first. We also play musical chairs, heads down thumbs up and dodge ball. During festive holidays we have arts and crafts fairs where the children get to make holidy theamed trinkets and take them home to show their parents. Every year round Christmas the voluntiers help the children make their own personalised mini Christmas trees as part of the Christmas fair.
