Sophie, babysitter in Sunderland

I am Sophie Gunn and i am 17, i am currently in education at st Anthony's sixth form studying BTEC Children’s play, learning and development at Level 3. Some of the skills i have include, confident in social situations, able to manage time effectively, able to plan activities and carry them out successfully and i am able to adapt to different situations. My qualities as a childcarer are very trustworthy, friendly, approachable and caring.

My experience to date:
July 2014 1 week- Ryhope Infant School Nursey
Work Experience: During my time at the school I had many duties such as taking younger children to the bathroom and making sure they are capable, helping staff mark any test/books, organising the class room etc. Throughout my time there I feel I gained skills in communication, team building and skill and problem solving. I feel it gave me confidence to ask knowledgeable questions in this field.

September 2015 – Ryhope Early Days Nursey Thursdays:
currently Assist in the care of children from learning, to personal care to safety. Interacting and working as a team with other assistants to get all tasks completed accurately and safely. Interacting with varying people from children to adults.

St Paul’s Primary School - Fridays
Assist the teacher in lessons, both Maths and English including marking. Reading and creative play with children.
