Leigh-anne, babysitter in Yate

I'm Leighanne. I consider myself as reliable person. I am punctual and ambitious and am able to work individually. I’m a quick learner and am flexible. I think some of my strengths are that I’m friendly and approachable. I did a weeks work experience in year 10 , I attended Little Acorns Day Nursery for a week. My role in this time was a general class room helper. I was able to work in all 3 age group rooms ( 0-1 , 2-3 and 4-5) which allowed me to use some of my skills and allowed me to gain more insight to how age ranges in children vary significantly. My main role was to conduct outdoor discovery time each day. This involved me having to plan activities for each day. My role also included socialising with both the children, staff and the parents/ carers of the children , preparing meal times and leading small classroom activities. I also assisted the main teachers with the activities and acted as a positive role model to help promote good behaviour. I followed the health and safety guidelines throughout my time at the nursery. I also babysit a family friends child every other Friday or Saturday night. I think my qualities as a child carer are that I am friendly and will be able to easily adapt to the needs of different unknown children. In school holidays ive previously looked after family friends children for long periods of time and also regularly babysit for a Childminder's children but still have plenty of free time for more.
