I am a third year university student looking for a career within education. I graduate in may 2017. I study childhood and education studies at Anglia Ruskin University. Over the past few years I have had several voluntary placements at nursery’s and pre-schools giving me valuable experience in this area. As a result of these placements I have been able to develop essential skills that would be required for a career in education. I am a very patient person with a good sense of humour and am able to offer encouragement and support throughout all activities I participate in. Completing my various work experience placements, alongside completing my studies, has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of children’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs and development.
At home, I often child mind my nieces. From doing this I have learnt to have a good imagination, for example creating games and activities for them to play. As I have been given this opportunity from a young age, it has allowed me to experience positions of responsibility in preparation for a career with young children.
