Hello there,
My name is Ellie and I am currently studying at the University of Northampton doing my Policing honours degree. Alongside this degree I am a volunteering special constable with Northamptonshire Police which I enjoy as I love working alongside people of many ages and abilities.
Previously to my degree, I have completed an NVQ LEVEL 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and development. This is where my love for children came about as I worked as a teaching assistant and in nursery’s for over 2 years. I have also volunteered and worked in children’s summer sport camps and have taught children with SEN dance classes and sports lessons.
I am pediatric first aid trained as well as being first aid trained. I have had protecting volunterable people training and I am currently undergoing a sign language course and an “understanding mental health and disability” course.
I really enjoy going that extra step and learning more. I believe being happy and enthusiastic around children is something I thrive in, as well as being silly and confident!
In my spare time (yes I actually have some!) I play lacrosse for my university as I am the 1sts Women’s Captain. I also help to coach the team as much as possible. I am also going through the process of applying for Northampton league netball team.
I am a very out doorsy person and I enjoy being very fun.
