Hi Families,
I'm a 19 year old female who just got back from a gap year in Australia, Whilst I was there I cared for 3 Australian families and stayed with them in their home for different parts out the year. The first family I lived with had 6 children aged 9-21. I did everything from making school lunches to washing clothes, cooking dinner, even doing hair for school proms! I had an amazing experience with this family and miss them greatly, luckily we all stay in touch. I then moved on to another family who had 4 children age range from 2-9 years old the children were very difficult and constantly rebelled, then after being with them only 3 weeks the parents told me they were leaving me on my own with the children for 10 days while they holidayed in Thailand and only contacted me twice to see how the kids were getting on. As you can imagine this experience was not fantastic and I left shortly after their return from holiday. I then had a fantastic host family who had boy/girl twins aged 2, beautiful children with the kindest nature I looked after them for 4 months doing all sorts of stimulating things. Both children can count to 10 and do the alphabet without any help and are very clever. We used to do painting, playdough, counting, Alphabet puzzles, peppa pig games, walks to shop and parks, go swimming, day trips to play centres and family parks, baking cakes and so much more! I loved everything about this experience.
Occasional babysitting | $10.00 per hour |
I would accept minimum wage for normal daytime hours however at night time or weekends I would charge £10.00 an hour because that's what I get if I look after family, neighbours children, if not more.
