Hi! My name is Safia, I'm 18 years old. I love children and enjoy caring for children - in the future I'd love to be a nursery nurse or primary school teacher. I've had experience working in 2 different nurseries - one as work experience (only for a week) and one for five months as an apprentice. In this nursery, I worked mainly with 2-3 year olds, but also with babies 3-12 months, 1-2 year olds and 4-6 year olds. My job role was to read to children, plan and carry out fun activities (e.g activities to target sensory play), I prepped and gave out snacks, as well as serving lunch and dinner and also changed nappies and helped with toilet training. I also frequently help family friends with their kids! I have also done a first aid course (Feb 2017) specifically for the aid of children. Overall, I absolutely love looking after children as well as watching and helping them achieve milestones.
