Laura, babysitter - RM1 Romford

I am 16 years old, nearly 17, and am a responsible, committed person with a positive attitude. I am interested in having a long term career within childcare as I enjoy working with children very much.

I am currently doing CACHE Level 3 Childcare in college and have just finished my first year. During the first year of my course, I was required to work 14 hours a week in a nursery as a student to support and care for children between the ages of 6 months to five years old. I was involved in observing and assessing each area of the children’s development, planning and implementing activities, encouraging their play opportunities, serving their food during mealtimes, supporting their care routines and supporting their individual and additional needs. I did this during September 2014 - June 2015 and enjoyed it very much. I worked in the nursery while learning and studying about children's health and well-being, safeguarding, additional needs, play and learning, children's development, professional practice and observation, assessment and planning.

I am available any time until 5th September 2015. After that I will only be able to do weekend and evening babysitting.

I have 10 GCSEs, including Maths, English Language and Child Development, all ranging from A's to C's. I am currently completing the CACHE Level 3 Childcare qualification, which is a 2 year course leading to Level 3 status in working with children.
