My name is Amy May, I am 16. I am a student going into sixth form. I have just completed my gcse as a secondary school student.I would be interested in this job as I now have a lot of spare time during these summer holidays and I am interested in the idea of becoming a teacher when I am older. I have had some previous experience by being a older sister too two younger silbling and having to take care of them and also other close relations for example cousins and close family friends. I have previously been given the opportunity to help out at a local primary school to take care of children during their lunch time. Within this job I had helped them cut up the food provided to them by the school and have played games with them during their playtimes and much more. I feel that this job will provide me with the experience I may require in the future when I am looking into the job of becoming a teacher and is something I would enjoy doing. During school I was selected as one of our school ambassadors and had to take lead roles in looking after the younger ambassadors during open evenings and other events at the school. For example I was requiree to show the younger pupils how to present their selfs and ensure they were doing their duties correctly. In addition to this I also was contacted by my second school in my extended break (as we had now finished school after gcse) and was asked to help with the year six enrolment, which is a taster week provided to the year 6’s of what it is like to be in year 7. I was allocated to lead a group of 11 to everyone of their 5 lessons a day and ensure that they were settled within their lessons. During the lesson I was assisting the teacher as a extra helper. Some qualities I feel I behold are being a good role model and being able to lead successfully, i enjoy activities such a swimming and dancing, I am pretty active as I am a dancer at a local dance school. I also feel that I am able to easily get along with the children and I am very talkative toward them and can help them with homework etc. I can cook and clean and assist at the majority of jobs required. I feel that this job would be great for me as I feel it will add to my experience and will help me in my future dream of becoming a teacher. Thank you.
