Lauren, babysitter in Southtown

My names Lauren and I'm 20 years old university student studying midwifery. The reason I want to babysit is because it helps you as parents and I love to take care of children.
Around 4 years ago I come back from a 4 week trip to Kenya where I was doing community conservation projects and noticed the impact we had on the children there, which has inspired me to provide help and care for people and children in a fun and exciting way.

I have experience at caring for kids as I often help my auntie when she is childminding . I have also volunteered at a beaver scout group for 4 years and use to be a regular babysitter for two families before moving to university. Both families had two children up to the age of 8. I also worked at an after school club twice a week where we would put on activities for around 30 children a day.

For my GCSE’s I studied health and social care, catering, French and business. As well as the standard maths, English (literature and language) and science. By studying health and social care I have a wider understanding of what each age group need physically, intellectually (the mind) socially (relationships) and emotionally.
I completed a level 3 extended technical diploma in health and social care. Which Gave me a deeper understanding of what children need, what the adults need and how I can use that information to be the best babysitter.
I have worked in a school, after school club, care home and as a babysitter for many years.
Currently I am in uni studying midwifery which I started in September 2019. And now in my final year.

I am very creative and love the outdoors and I love to spend time playing with the kids and having fun. Over the years I have picked up some fun activities to do with the children such as; arts and crafts, story time, fun games and anything to keep them entertained. I am happy to do anything to help you as parents with the kids and to put them to bed if they need to be. I will do anything necessary to get the children to bed clean and happy e.g. Stories, bath or anything else necessary. If the children have any routines I am happy to follow them. I am also patient, kind and understanding.
