Presentation

I live in Tunbridge Wells and am 22 years old.

My journey started at College when I studied health and social care as I originally wanted to become a Midwife. After a year on this course, my heart wasn't in it and I realised it wasn't for me. I decided to take a year out where I voluntarily worked in two different nurseries/pre schools, to ensure this was the career path I wanted to pursue and it was. I went back to College and studied Level 3 Diploma for the Children’s and Young People’s Workforce. I undertook work experience in a nursery setting whilst at College and when I had finished College they offered me a job. I enjoyed every day with the children and would often help out in other age groups. The nursery were planning to expand around the corner to facilitate for the growing number of parents wanting to send their children to the nursery. We were all interviewed and asked where we would like to go and I chose babies.

I then worked in babies which I loved and moved through the nursery with my key children from younger babies, to older babies, to toddlers. When I was in toddlers I decided that I wanted to become a nanny. When one of my key children's parents told me they were going to leave to find a nanny as the nursery wasn't for them or her at the time, this was the perfect opportunity and I started working for them in March 2016 and have loved watching her develop and grow up into the brightest little girl who is now 3 years old. Her mum reduced her hours about op months' ago and I found a second family to work for, two boys who are 1 and 3 for the Friday. I am also temporarily helping out a third family for a girl who is 9 months old and a 3 year old boy who I drop off at nursery one day a week. One of my children has started pre school and so I am looking for work on Wednesday and Thursdays. I can also work on Tuesday but this will be as a nanny share.

I also babysit for both the families I work for and also some of the children I used to look after at nursery. This is something I am happy to do if available.

I feel very fortunate to be a nanny as I love my job. I genuinely look forward to going to work each day and being with the children, enjoying all their different characteristics, and I feel privileged to be part of the foundation to their lives. I like to plan fun, well rounded days, making sure they are adequate for each child’s individual needs and interests. I love to get down to the children’s level and have fun with them all, nothing sounds better than hearing children laugh and singing along with you and sometimes just being silly! I also like to instil good manners and behaviour. Being responsible for somebody else’s child is a big responsibility and one which I respect greatly. I am a hard working enthusiastic person and am punctual, reliable and responsible.

I am DBS checked, registered as a nanny with Ofsted and am insured with Nannyinsure. CV and reference from current employer available upon request.
