Rachel, babysitter - WN1 Wigan

My name is Rachel and I'm 17 years of age. I have quite a lot of previous experience when it comes to taking care of children because of my work experience in different areas. I have done a work placement in a nursery with children aged from 6 months old to 7 years old as well as being a young leader for Rainbows and Brownies groups in the wigan area. Being a young leader meant that I had to have a positive attitude and communicate with the children of all ages and ensure that I took care of their personal needs. As well as this, when working in the nursery I had to be aware of cultural differences and confidentiality to make sure that every child was taken care of to the best of my ability and treated no different to other children. I also take care of cousins and their own young children regularly and have often helped round the house and cooked meals for them when necessary. Also, being only 17 I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to children's toys and games and would be more than happy to take part with the children and help with any homework tasks.
