I am an 18 year old female who is starting a BA Hons in Education Studies (Primary) next year, a degree which will help me to fulfil my goal of becoming a primary school teacher.

I am a bubbly, very friendly, creative person who is always willing to learn new skills and valuable experiences. I have a very strong passion when it comes to working with children and have always pushed myself to gain more experience. I have worked at a school in Hereford which caters for children between the ages of 3 to 16 with all different needs and abilities. I enjoyed working with these children as it was fascinating to see the development norms and how they varied from child to child.

I am a fast learner and understand the importance of close, strong relationships, healthy eating, physical activity and the importance of play, all of which I have a great level of knowledge about. I am one of nine so I have always been surrounded by a range of ages the youngest currently being six and the oldest now being 30. I believe this is what has made me want to become a teacher.
I hold a full UK driving licence and would be willing to take the children to after school activities and on day trips. I am also First Aid trained and have a recent CRB certificate.

I completed a year at Gwernyfed Sixth Form and gained AS levels in English and Photography, however didn’t continue to my second year as I believed the best way to start to gain a qualified teaching status would be by gaining experience first hand by working with children. This is what encouraged my decision to work in a school.

From both my work experience and life experience I feel that I have a great understanding when it comes to children and being a helpful, happy, approachable person who others can rely on.
