Lauren, babysitting in Apsley

Hi, my name is Lauren and I'm looking at getting a job babysitting children. My parents had my little sister when I was 11 years old and ever since than I have loved to play with her and even look after her when I was old enough. I am currently at college studying a level 3 technical diploma course and looking for a job within the sector to get a bit of experience and save up some money for university. As part of my course I have to go to a nursery on Mondays and Tuesdays to get real life experience of working with children. These children are ages 0-5 however in my second year I will be going to a primary school and will be with ages 5-7. My availability's are Fridays, Saturdays and occasional Sundays if I am needed. At the nursery I set up activity's that involve both the children's interests as well as helping them to develop their areas of learning/development. I also help my sister with her year 1 homework which can be anything from creating a lantern for Chinese new year, mathematics, spellings and drawings. I love getting children to get involved with messy activities such as making play doh because this will help them to develop all area of learning as well as just having fun. I think it is also important for children to go outside and play sports so this is why I will create activity's that children can do outdoors as well as indoors.
