I have my level 2 and 3 qualification in childcare and education, HLTA ( Higher Level Teaching Assistant) and I also have a degree in educational studies with early childhood studies. I have had experience of working in the primary sector for the last 10 years and have had experience of working in all year groups. I have always worked well as part of a member of the team, I communicate well with staff and children, organise and carryout activities with clear objectives and I take groups of children for Maths and English in quiet areas. I have worked with children on a one to one basis, given children lots of praise and encouragement as well as rewards, undertaken observations, read stories and worked/helped children who have SEN or behavioural difficulties. I have also organised children's assessment files, helped with cleaning, put up displays and also participated in staff meetings.

I am currently working in a special school for children with disabilities, as part of my role I work one to one or with groups of children during Maths and English. I have undertaken training to tube feed children, to give medication and to carry out physiotherapy. I work well as part of the team and also work well on my own. I encourage the children to be as independent as possible. I get involved with behavioural plans and IEP's, collecting and recording evidence of children's progress.

When I worked in mainstream school I worked extremely well as part of a team, and also I worked well on my own when necessary. I have worked with children in foundation, key stage 1 and 2. I often took children out in groups to help boost their Maths and English. I have also covered the whole class one afternoon a week for 1 year. I have planned and organised activities for the children taking into account children with SEN or children with challenging behaviour

When I was working for the Holt family as a nanny I had the full responsibility of caring for a 1 year old girl and a 5 year old boy. During my time with the Holt family, I had to ensure the children were both ready in the morning and take the 5 year old to school on time, I had to organise activities and play dates for the 1 year old. We would also go on trips out; we would go to the park, farms and seaside. I encouraged both children in all aspects to their development. I also cleaned and maintained the house; I kept both parents fully informed with daily events. Confidentiality was a must and practiced daily.

During my degree; I covered inclusive learning, lifelong learning, informal learning, covered aspects of the foundation stage curriculum, the early learning goals, stepping stones and every child matters policy - for each of these a report or assignment was completed. I also undertook a research project relating to children and emotional development. Whilst at university I took part in ECDL computer course and learnt the basics of using a computer.

I am reliable, my time keeping and attendance has always been excellent. I work well under pressure either as part of a team or independently using my own initiative. I am approachable, caring, straightforward and positive with a good sense of humour. I have strong communication and interpersonal skills. I am hard working, enthusiastic and learn new things quickly. My aim is to find employment in an environment with high standards. I am flexible and I am available for interview at anytime.

My interests are reading, I enjoy reading most books but my favourite is reading autobiographies. I like to keep fit by walking and going on my bicycle and going swimming. I enjoy listening to music I like most music and usually have the radio on. I also like spending time with my family. We enjoy eating out at restaurants or weather pending going to the seaside.
