Nicole, babysitting - BS6 Bristol

My name is Nicole , and I am a 17 year old currently studying at the North Bristol Post 16 Centre. I am interested in childcare jobs as I love being around children, and childcare is certainly something I see in my future.

I am a fun-loving, calm and friendly girl who loves socialising in general, especially with children. I adore their optimism and understand what a vital time of life childhood is; the attachments children make and the care that they get will stay with them forever, so it is essential that they are given high quality care and set a good example. I always strive to do this by, for example, serving healthy meals and encouraging children to love food whilst keeping their bodies healthy. I enjoy coming up with all kinds of creative activities and have many ideas, since I used to volunteer for a primary school ages youth club which has unfortunately stopped running now.

Communication is extremely important, and I always seek to engage with children in a manner that is appropriate for their age but demonstrates mutual respect and interest; I know that there is nothing more irritating than a patronising nanny! I have 2+ years of babysitting experience, and I believe this gives me a great advantage in knowing how to engage children well and help them grow whilst still having lots of fun!
